Unit 1: Exploring Craft Ideas

AO 1.1: Jade attended a presentation / lecture by an animator and 2 filmmakers who presented their work and explained the process of producing the work (short video clip evidence of presentation below).  

She has completed a review sheet of the 2 pieces of work (in her folder).

A0 1.2 Mood board completed in folder provides some evidence of researching ideas to inform own work.

AO 1.3 Worksheet in folder addresses positives and negatives of artists productions / craft work ideas. 

AO 1.4 Jade identifies preferred idea for video portrait on worksheet in folder (labelled).

AO 1.5 Tutor witness statement has been produced as evidence that Jade has presented her idea for a video portrait, as she was absent when presentations were filmed and had to present to tutor at an alternative time. 

Unit 2: Explore Materials & Tools to Support Craft Ideas

Painting with Light Photography

AO 1.5 Completed risk assessment form in folder and tutor witness statement evidence of safe working practices during all activities.


Unit 3: Producing Creative Craft work

Final project: Video Portrait:
AO 1.1 Mood board plan for video portrait and planning sheets in folder shows development of ideas for video portrait.
AO 1.2 Tools / Materials checklist completed in folder show identification of tools / equipment / materials required.
AO 1.3 Tutor witness statement evidence in folder as evidence of ability to prepare work area to produce the craft work.

AO 2.1 and AO 2.2 Use of materials and equipment and tools and maintaining a safe working environment identified in tutor witness statement.

AO 2.3 Final Video Portrait:
Jade wanted to make a film about her friendship with Jasmine and mimicked a music video as part of this.  She then decided to opt for the surreal twist by speeding up the footage so it is comical.

The work will be screened at the end of year Art & Media exhibition.


AO 3.1, AO 3.2, AO 3.3: Jade has evaluated her work by completing an evaluation worksheet in her folder and she shows some ability to reflect and state what went well, what could be improved and what she could do next.
