Unit 2: Explore materials and tools to support craft ideas
AO 1.1 and AO 1.2 Below is evidence of a range of crafts Katie has practiced during the course.

AO 1.3 and AO 1.4 Worksheet completion shows evidence of awareness of selecting materials to support craft ideas and identifying tools and equipment for working with materials.
Final project: video portrait
Katie's video portrait is all about her friends. Videos and photos are combined with text and edited to make a visually interesting piece of video work that tells us more about Katie, Melissa and Casie.
AO 1.5 Completion of risk assessment form to ensure safe working practices and tutor witness statement evidence of Katie's ability to work safely at all times.
Unit 3 Produce Craft Work
Final piece: A Video Portrait
AO 1.1 Planning evidence is clear in mood board, PowerPoint and Presentation completed for Unit 1.
Presenting the idea:
AO 1.2 Completion of checklist for materials / equipment in Katie's folder
AO 1.3 Tutor witness statement evidence of Katie preparing area to produce craft work.
AO 2.1 and AO 2.2 Tutor witness statement evidence of use of selected tools and equipment to produce craft and safe working environment, as well as risk assessment form incident section completion.
AO 2.3
Katie's final video portrait focuses on her friendships, hobbies and interests and experiments with video, photography, pictures, stop frame animation, chroma key, colour filters and text, as well as sound.
The work will be screened as part of the end of year Art & Media exhibition.
AO 3.1, AO 3.2, AO 3.3 An evaluation worksheet in her folder has been completed by Katie to assess what worked, what can be developed and what she could go on to do next with her skills in craft work.
